Charity and compassion begins at home. If someone has put their life on the line for you, they deserve to be considered before illegal alians. They need consideration too but there is a pecking order. We do have room in our hearts for all and need to think about the plights of strangers but FAMILY takes takes precedents. If we can help both-great. If we have to choose just one...family (vets) first.

The Veterans Administration does not put caring for the veterans first and foremost! I know, I worked there for 10.5 years. They need a really big shakeup.
