My husband served in Vietnam, US ARMY, CPT. MEDICALCORPS and Special Forces, Green Beret. He was a P.O.W.@the "Hanoi Hilton" for 18 months. Tortured beyond belief. My Father served during WW II in the US NAVY..South Pacific "Iwo Jima".. I was almost never born...my Father was in the Galley, below waterline when the USS Saratoga WAS HIT BY A KAMAKAZI...the troop to his starboard was fatally hit by the intruding propeller...just think, if that man had been my Dad....I would have NEVER been born... I HIGHLY RESPECT, ADMIRE, HONOR and LOVE ALL WHO HAVE SERVED IN ALL/ANY of our Forces. They placed their lives on the line for OUR FREEDOM!!!

My parents are both veterans, the Gov't workers. Both in their 80's & needing full time care & we are struggling to afford diapers, transportation to appointments. I am their only child & go to their home (which is falling aprt) 7 days a week to change/dress mom who is complete palliative care. But bc on paper it looks like they have more money than they do, they are refused state aid & Medicare covers almost nothing . It's heartbreaking to watch them suffer ....
