Please consider lifting from homelessness our veterans before spending one more dime on any other newcomers to America.

One of my grandfathers served in the army in WWI where he was gassed; my other grandfather could not serve in the military during WWII because of health problems but worked for the Navy in the Philadelphia Navy Yard helping to build naval ships and continued to work for the Navy for over 35 years until his death from mesothelioma in 1977; my dad served in the Navy on an escort carrier during WWII; five of my great uncles served in the Army during WWII and one was killed while parachuting into France on D-Day; my step-father served in the Army during the Korean War; one of my moms brothers served in the Army during the Korean War; two of my mothers brothers-in-law served in the Army, one brother-in-law served in the Air Force from the 50's till the 70's; my husband served in the Army during the Vietnam War; cousins have served in the Army in conflicts since the 90's to present date. I am so proud of all these veterans in my family, everyone is a hero. Any man or woman who has sacrificed and risked their lives to protect the citizens of America deserves every benefit and all the respect we can give them...they come before anyone or anything. They stepped up for our country we need to step up for them.
