Veterans benefits should come before immigrants/illegals
Veterans served our country well. And we're willing to put their lives on the line for the freedoms we enjoy today.

My Son is in the Air force,Has been sense He was 18.Now in His 30's. I have a lot of Veterans in my Family. So Veterans before Refugees or illegals.My taxdollars need to go for our Veteran's.

I am a Veteran and there should be more opportunities to assist Veterans! I worked at two different VA's. The two are as different as night and day! I feel that if all of the various VA's were on board with the Carey Award they would have to follow strict standards for care of our Veterans! The VA in WRJ Vermont has excellent care and always striving to improve the care for patients. Always improving the hospital the environment !

Close up all of the borders for good. I'm tired along with brothers and sisters of supporting everyone else who comes here and is able to get just about anything they want and/or need. We can't,t take care of what we have now less alone continue to allow ppl from other foreign countries to continue to in here and take advantage of this country. We still have approx 22 million here illegally, now the caravan, and what will follow? Where does it stop? What about the veterans, homeless, poor, hungary, and others here that we can't take care of and haven't for years...WHY? As rich as this country is there is no reason for people to be without a home, veterans to be homeless, go without the best medicine and medical treatment or for us to have to fight the VA to obtain our medical disability. Why does the VA have the right to give a veteran disability benefits and then take it back stating they made a mistake? They destroy our records, pages go missing or they loose the entire, but it's left up to the veteran to proof. I'm thankful for what I have like my brother's and sisters in arms, but the VA is so greedy, and uncaring in most cases that we have spent entirely to much time going round and round to get what we rightfully deserve. So I say, "VETERANS BEFORE IMMIGRANTS OR ANYONE ELSE!!!!"
