Our veterans who have fought in our wars for American freedom deserve to be financially given homes and receive monetary help and food stamps before foreigners coming in to this country. Our people should come first instead of being homeless and hungry and forgotten.

There is no reason for a vet to be homeless its a disgrace to our country if the vets can sign a blank check for their life why can't the gov take care of them for life??? Its not a part time job without benefits....do it now !!!!! Fix this...

We wouldn’t be here if not for them. Let’s think them properly.

It's a bold and beautiful thing that they have done for us! It's also,a damn shame, and pitiful, how we are showing a piss poor effort of Truly showing our heart felt gratitude for all they've given... let's give credit, where credit is DUE, damnit!!!

The veterans deserve better medical care were they don't get incompetent doctors treating them, just because the doctors could not doctor people on the outside of the VA system. The doctors are human, I understand that humans make mistakes, but how can a veteran be sent glasses with the bifocals at different levels so that he can't even wear them without getting terrible headaches and poor vision so bad that he had to go out and buy another pair to read with. Most people not involved in the VA system think that the veteran and his family get medical treatment at the VA but that is not true. I was having a medical issue one day while at the VA hospital while my husband was and I were in a meeting with a group of other veterans and all they did was tell me to leave the room and wait outside for my husband. An hour later he csme out of the room to find me passed out in the chair I was in. I had a spell or seizure and no even came over to check on me or to even see who I was waiting to see. That is poor medical care in my humble opinion. I know that I wasn't the patient but I go with my husband because I have a lot of medical problems and if he is going to be gone for a long time he doesn't like to leave me home alone.

As a veteran myself, I fully support all veterans. I was honored to serve and do not expect any special favors but simple recognition.
