Verizon Android power-user feature
Dear Verizon,
Let's start out with a few simple facts:
-I'm an Android fanboy.
-I love your network. No one else compares in my region.
-I've been a Verizon customer for many years.
Great. We got that out of the way. Now for the hard part... I'm leaving you. My mistress is named Fi. I simply cannot take what you guys are doing with the Android OS. It's horrific. I'm to the point where if I cannot bootloader flash or, at the least, root Android I really don't care to use it. I would rather run an iPhone than an unrooted/off-the-shelf Android phone. Android is a beautiful OS when kept fairly plain. Why work SO HARD with the phone vendors to lock it down and fill it full of crap? I just don't understand. Android is really about openness and customizeablitiy.
Here's my proposal: offer a feature on our accounts, perhaps called "Android Power User", that is basically a check-box which pops up the legal jargon, we accept, we forfeit phone support, you give us bootloader unlock via a unique code which cannot be shared. Not terribly different from what other carriers already allow you to do with the HTC phones.
tl;dr - You're killing the Android experience, I'm offering a solution, toodles for now!
