Federal elections must be recorded electronically and by ink on paper, with a registration number given to the voter right there at the voting machine after voting has been completed. Once the tallies have been counted, they are published on a web site ( also printed and delivered to every local library) where individual voters can go find their registration number and check their votes against the master list, and be able to actually see the impact of their vote on the final counting tally
