We, the undersigned, demand that Arcadia Management address the lack of security in the parking lots of their properties and provide constructive solutions that protect residents and their vehicles.

The residents of apartments managed by Arcadia Management (Carleton Artists Lofts, The Lyric, Ray, Platform) are tired of vehicle break-ins, vandalism and theft. Dozens of residents over 15 years-plus have suffered vehicular property damage or loss. The problem has reached epidemic levels where residents are experiencing security issues on a weekly if not daily basis. Complaints and pleas to management to address this issue have fallen on deaf ears. Many residents have been met with apathy, disregard, disrespect and even aggression when reporting incidents to management.

Across four separate properties there are hundreds of individuals paying thousands of dollars in rent and in return expect safety and security in and around the buildings they live in. Not only does the lack of security tangibly impact personal safety, individual's property and lead to costly repairs or replacement, there is a significant negative impact on the general quality of life at Arcadia Management properties. This is unacceptable and unsatisfactory.

We demand proper and adequate security measures at all Arcadia Management buildings including:

1. regular security personnel presence in the parking lots of residential buildings.
2. effective and operational cameras properly positioned and linked to security or law enforcement services.
3. a gate at each entrance to the parking lot
4. management acknowledge and prioritize residents concerns and work proactively with residents and the community for better security.

We demand immediate action and attention to this safety issue. This is our home and should not have to worry about navigating crime on our property.
