I am a vegetarian who recently wrote McDonalds corporation about thier lack of a vegetarian menu compared to Burger King, who offers veggie burgers as well as "vegetarian style" eggs. I was finally fed up with ordering a Big Mac no meat and being charged full price, once again ordering a salad, waiting until a less popular fast food joint appeared, or just not eating anything at all. I realize being a vegetarian was a choice that i made and no one is required to bend over backwards to meet my needs, however i am a person too, and i think its a fairly simple request to have a more vegetarian friendly menu. McDonalds wrote me back saying that "they will stick with their more popular menu items that the majority of thier customers enjoy." All I want to do is show them that not only is the number of people who chose this diet growing, but its also a extremly healthier choice. Please show your support, obesity is a sadly growing problem in our country, heart disease is at a large and veggie burgers are a wonderful alternative and should be offered. I am not saying anything bad about eating meat and am not a member of PETA, I simply just want people who chose to eat like i do, or people considering it, to have more of an option.
