Van der stel has been my home since 2019 i started playing soccer for the club and started playing rugby since 2021 for the club and stayed with them till 2025
VDE has shown immense growth in the last few years
It offers a wide variety of sport and it should stay as it is

I feel that the club VDE just reached peak since 15 years ago it's a community team and their home will be taken by a professional team that has investors that can buy any piece of land but takes interest in a community club it's gonna hurt the development of rugby in the community including small surrounding towns interested in the club VDE

My Vrou het vir jare geoefen by die gimnasium wat by Van Der Stel was. Nadat hul die ondergebruikte saal op gegradeer het op hul eie koste asook in dir proses was om n swembad te bou, is die kontrak gekanselleer. Dit was n sinnelose besluit deur die Munisipaliteit, 10-1 deur n boontjie teller in n kantoor wat nie eers in Stb bly nie

Stellenbosch is the richest municipality and they can build a new stadium for the soccer why wanting use a sports ground which houses so many young under privilege rugby stars that has joined VDE for a better future. This will cause many youngsters falling into other wrong activities.

100% support and agree with this petition. I worked there from 2019 to 2020 and it was a disgrace and disappointment of the way the Municipality dealth with VDS committee members, staff and matters. No "community service" was part of my experience. Always had this feeling of hidden agendas. Seems like the trend hasn't changed. Very sad and something should be done. Stand strong and firm (with respect) VDS community. What is right is right.

I want vds to stay because iam a rugby player and i belong to the club and and i have memories that i have there by playing there its just wrong
