Volusia County Schools is proposing a change to the start time of high schools. Discussed options include 7 A.M. to 2 P.M, 8:30 A.M to 3 P.M, and 9:10 A.M. to 4 P.M, and 9:40 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.

Join me and many of my peers in opposing a later start time. Sign this petition to support a start time before 8 A.M. and allow students to have enough daylight time after school to continue participating in extracurricular activities like band, sports, and community organizations.

Many parents and teachers have voted in favor of times including 9:10 and 9:45 to start and these would not allow us to get home until close to or after five in the evening.
