I cannot imagine a better tribute to a remarkable actor. Van Johnson's contributions to the American society in a post war era are remarkable. He embodied the heart and spirit of the "boy next door". His on screen charisma was genuine & pulled you into his roles. There will never be another Van Johnson!

Van Johnson Battleground 1949 was about my fathers' WWII outfit the 327th GIR 101st Airborne in the Battle of the Buldge. Most have heard about is his performance is the closet to how & what it was like to be a GI in the army of WWII. Today Nov. 30th 2013 is the 4th annv. of my fathers' passing. The 327th was disbanded Nov. 30th, 1946, just one of God's winks.
