One of my late Dad's favorite movies and one of Van Johnson's best roles. A very realistic portrayal of the American combat soldier during the Bulge. My father fought as a combat infantryman with the 23rd AIB, 7th Armored Division in the defense of St. Vith. Honor this great actor with a U.S. Postal stamp in his memory. It's well deserved.

Van Johnson deserves a postal stamp. I have been waiting a long time for this. His daughter is anxious for this as many of us are.

As a child growing up in Newport, his father was our plumber and he gave me a personally autographed photo of Van Johnson. Unfortuanley, it was lost over the years, but he was always a favorite.

My parents put me in movie theaters to babysit me during the war and Van Johnson was my hero during that time in my life(5) years old as he was in so many of the movies that I saw.
