The Ministry confirmed that the Ontario Auditor General will conduct the requested audit of Enwin and its subsidiaries. This result ensures the oversight we pushed for is now mandatory. We remain focused on monitoring the reporting process as the audit team begins their work.

Whereas the City of Windsor terminated the employment of an Auditor General who requested a value for money audit of Enwin Utilities Ltd., and;
Whereas there have been allegations of a conflict of interest regarding a member of the audit committee employed by Enwin Utilities Ltd. who recommended the termination of the Auditor General;
Be it resolved that we the undersigned, taxpaying residents and property owners in the Corporation of the City of Windsor, hereby request the Ministry of Housing and Municipal affairs to ask the Ontario Auditor General to conduct a full business, operational and money-for-value audit of Enwin Utilities Ltd., Enwin Energy Ltd., and Windsor Canada Utilities Limited pursuant to the Municipal Affairs Act of Ontario.

The scale of this response is sufficient to escalate our formal request to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs. I am currently finalizing the cover letter and documentation package to ensure our demand for an audit remains the primary focus of the upcoming provincial review.

Fix this mess. It is ridiculous that we have to fight just to see how our money is being spent.
Why is the city protecting Enwin? Taxpayers are paying a fortune for utilities and we deserve total transparency.
Enough with the secrecy. If they have nothing to hide then let the audit happen. We pay the bills so we deserve to know where the money goes.
This whole situation smells rotten. Get the provincial auditor in there right now.
Accountability is missing here. Bring in the province and clear the air.

TOTAL SHAM. You don't fire an auditor for doing his job unless you are hiding something big. Windsor needs answers.
