Houma, LA ~ There is a need to provide a safe lane for cyclists and pedestrians without having to face the hazards of vehicular traffic. A paved lane dedicated to biking & running would serve this purpose. On the west side of Valhi Blvd runs a grassy right-of-way approximate 100 feet wide which would provide an excellent location for such a lane. We the undersigned are concerned citizens who urge our leaders to act now to add a paved biking/running lane the 4.25 mile length of Valhi Blvd (including Valhi Extension) from St. Charles Ave to Savanne Rd.
