It is a matter of what we think takes precedence: Traditional social formalities or spreading Bhakti for the benefit of everyone. Doesn't the world need all the help it can get with the latter?

Advancement is not governed by bodily designations.
Vaisnavis need to reveal their minds in confidence, and sannyasi is not supposed to hear from women. Nor is any man. Only a woman's husband.

I have no desire to be official guru but as Prabhupada told us, we all have to be gurus W our behavior n speaking n lifestyles. A soul who desires guru guidance from another soul, what is the difficulty? That is a personal intimate relationship that need not be controlled by other souls.
