Esse será um importante passo para retificar as distorções abomináveis, dirigidas às almas encarnadas na condição feminina, que é imprescindível para oportunidade de existência de toda entidade viva na Terra.
De fato, nada justifica a proibição de mulheres exercerem a função de Gurus, pois o critério baseado em designação corpórea, simplesmente, não pode ser o parâmetro adequado para se auferir o status espiritual de um ser humano; somente a sua entrega, conduta e serviço ao Supremo podem qualificar ou desqualificar um candidato ao posto de Diksa-Guru, e nenhum outro aspecto temporário e ilusório.
Ademais, todos sabemos que natureza verdadeira da Jiva é feminina, já que Krishna é a Fonte Original e Ûnica, de todas as criaturas existentes.
Bem por isso, inexiste qualquer fundamento abalizado para a incompreensivel e insustentável vedação de mulheres na posição de Guru na Sampradhaya Vaishnava.
Se nem Srila Prabhupada se opunha a isso, como seus sucessores podem propugnar algo tão preconceituoso, excludente e abusivo?!

It is the duty of the GBC to make sure all the devotees are happy. i have seen a folder full of quotes and instructions from Srila Prabhupada defending vigorously and empowering the women of our movement. Discarding 50% of the preaching force as less than men, makes our movement less than adequate for new women to join. i've noticed this in my preaching for the last 35 years. To the degree that devotees are not honored and happy, the GBC loses credibility. It makes me wonder if every devolutionary policy isn't voiced and implemented by "demons in dhotis" who have infiltrated our spiritual movement to drag it down to the level of sexism, bean-counting and sectarianism.

It's about time ISKCON actually applies their philosophy in their own movement.
The senior Vaishnavis should have been offered that position by their god brothers long ago without having to ask.
An an ideal world we would all realize that we are not this body. There is no female and male. There is 1 purusha and all of us are prakrti. And that is the simple philosophy.
As for the bodies.....some in male costume are qualified to be gurus and some are not. And the ones qualified are on different levels as well.
Same will apply to the souls in female costume. YS Smdd
