Previously, Srila Prabhupada taught us to be Vaishnavas and not to emphasize sex. First of all, we are souls. And if faithful in the female body is qualified to preach the message of Krishna as it was presented to us by Srila Prabhupada, it is a great incentive and inspiration for Mataji to progress and to serve with great inspiration.

The more dedicated followers of Srila Prabhupada take the responsibility that comes as a result of one´s preaching the message that has been given to us, the more this movement will expand to all varieties of souls and everywhere.
There are many quotations in which Srila Prabhupada expresses clearly the need of all his followers to take the responsibility to bring others to the path of devotion.
In this class Prabhupada explains the meaning of acharya and how he wants his followers, and he says millions, to take the mission of acharya. This clearly involves all his disciples, grand disciples and so on, and he does not make distinctions of gender:

Opening up the role of Diksa Guru to women will inspire all women, especially the women of ISKCON. This is particularly important in the kali yuga for many women due to abuse are unable to form a servitude relationship with a man. Country: USA

It is important to remember the truth, regardless of material gender, we are all part and parcel of the Supreme Lord Krsna. Our eternal soul is not defined by material conditions. Krishna consciousnesses is love and compassion for others. Teaching by example and striving to be the best we can to serve others in gratitude, love and compassion.

For the future of ISKCON in America, we will not be an acceptable and legitimate path until this topic is approved. If not, we will become another dead tradition like the Catholic tradition.
Please spread KC to the whole world...to all souls...including women. Srila Prabhupada was way beyond the norm.

From Srila Prabhupads many comments, it is obvious he wanted female gurus. Please don't hold iskcon back to the dark ages. Indians and vedic culture all support female gurus.

You can allow women to give diksha, but not more than one for the whole ISKON
Yes good idea!
