Support the VAIS Charter Renewal

Great program that offers proven value for everyone affected.

I live in Middleton but work at Epic and hold out hope that the school will continue and there will be a spot for my son when he is old enough to potentially go there.

Elementary eduction is important. Especially it is free and offers an opportunity to touch foreign language and culture.

Our family loves VAIS! Our son is thriving, and we hope it is there when our daughter goes to kindergarten in 2019.

VAIS has meant the world (meant very literally) to my children. Learning about the culture and language of our nation's biggest rival will give them a leg up in the globally competitive world they will be entering.

VAIS is an amazing opportunity for VASD students and is one of the most unique features of the district. It would be a tremendous loss to eliminate this program when it is just finding its footing in a more permanent space.

I've seen great enthusiasm for this program by one of the current VAIS students. It's very impressive to see a language uncommon in this part of our country being spoken by someone so young. Please continue the VAIS Charter so that current students may continue the program and that future students may have the same breadth of opportunities available to them.

Parents should be able to choose where to send their kids to school. Charter schools are a wonderful option for children. Please renew this charter!

This is an incredibly valuable program, both for our children and for the community. I've seen its results up close, and believe it to be a powerful tool for diversity, and increasing awareness of the world at large. Plus it's a public charter school, open to all.

I support the VAIS and school of choice.

Early language immersion is hugely important!

Please keep this option open for parents. Diversity in educational options is as important as diversity in students.

As someone who has attended a public charter and volunteers with a similar immersion school, I believe we need more, and certainly not less, programs like this for the next generation. Immersion of different cultures, ethnicities, languages, and socioeconomic backgrounds is priceless at such a young age.

This sounds like a great school option, and should be the model for future schools as well. I support renewing this charter.
