I can't believe that it's been so ridiculous to the point that we had to reach this conclusion. Concrete facts on ages should be a given from the very start, not something left extremely ambiguous.

Please reveal the characters ages! I love Allura's character but she can act "like a teen" without being an actual teenager. Also, if Allura IS a teen then PLEASE do not write a romance arc with Shiro. I believe they act similarly mature but if Allura is closer in age to the paladins than to Shiro I'd rather she not have a romance arc at all at this point. The fact that the ages haven't been revealed before now makes me feel incredibly concerned.

Like many of the people signing this petition, I honestly don't understand the reason for withholding the canon ages of the characters, especially since it's causing unnecessary drama each time someone mentions a single characters age or alludes to it quite vaguely.

I really hope this petition gains enough headway to make an impact, because finding out concrete ages would put a lot of people who are worried at ease, and help the VLD community start working towards having a little more peace and trust in the staff from DW.

allura acts like an adult. don't make her act like an adult if she's a teenager. women of color often times get put in these categories of "wise and strong beyond their years" and it's tiring, let her be her own age. woc don't always have to be so strong when they're just teenagers.
