We are a volunteer group of Turkish and ex pats who live in the beautiful valley of Uzumlu, Turkey, renowned for its enviroment and clean air. We have started this petition to try and stop the proposed development of a cement factory and all the health hazards that will bring as well as the huge increase of lorries to bring in the raw materials of Gypsum and chalk which are not found locally. It is an agricultural area primarily, of outstanding natural beauty and of historic interest with Kadyanda nearby, which needs to be preserved and treasured. Please help us to fight our cause.
