We, as students of the University of Windsor, seek to have the bell curve grading requirements removed from all faculty grading policies. The bell curve policy serves exactly that end which, in theory, it seeks to remedy. Rather than allowing students to fall naturally into a "normal" curve, this grading scheme manipulates grades ex post facto. We ask that the following policy initiatives be discussed and implemented: I. Grades earned on any evaluation are not to be changed or manipulated after that evaluation has been processed. II. Evaluations should be designed in such a way as to suit the level of difficulty of subject material, such that a representative sample of students will fall naturally into a normal distribution.
