UW Reevaluate Engineering Work Term Reports
We, the undersigned students of the University of Waterloo, respectfully request a reconsideration of the requirement for 30-page work term reports at the end of each co-op term.
Several engineering programs within our university have already transitioned away from this practice, and we believe it's time for our program to do the same.
The current timeline of these reports, due after the commencement of the school term, adds unnecessary stress to an already demanding schedule of classes, labs, co-op applications, and interviews.
Additionally, the extensive professional development courses provided during co-op terms cover a diverse range of topics, making the additional 30-page reports seem redundant in the context of our broader learning experience.
We seek a more efficient and beneficial evaluation process for our co-op experiences. Your support in this matter would greatly enhance our academic and professional journey.
