Each and every life is precious. Healthcare is caring for the health of others not destroying it. Do not be afraid to do what you know is right. Each of us began as an unborn child.

I am absolutely appalled at UVMMC's decision to allow elective abortions. It is not only cruel, but unconstitutional. We must all strive to preserve life, from conception to natural death.

I am extremely disappointed and disturbed by the recent decision of the board of UVM Medical Center to do elective abortions. It was bad enough that you already did abortions on babies who have Down syndrome and other genetic conditions. This decision will only taint the reputation of your fine institution. Please reconsidered your decision.

The largest, most trusted medical center in Vermont. I am so disappointed about the decision of the UVMC Board of Trustees to not only consider, but to include elective abortions. I have been a patient from age ten at the Durfee Clinic in the Mary Fletcher Allen Hospital, fourth floor children's ward for treatment of a hemangioma on my tongue from birth. Dr. Carlton Haines saved my life many times from hemorrhaging. I cannot in good conscience condone your action. As a Vermonter; 72 year old woman, mother, grandmother and someone who respects life at all stages, it is disheartening that you caved in. Children are life's renewal.

Sex education hasn't helped, birth control hasn't helped, abortions will not solve the problem which is brokenness, emptiness, and not choosing a better way: God's plan for love, marriage and sex. Killing babies is NOT the answer, it's literally blood money. Please stop!
