I am in the process of moving back to Vermont.Reason is family and better medical system, the care for life. If you do abortions at UVM Medical Center, then I don't want to contribute to it by paying for ANY services provided. I will go elsewhere for medical needs.

Abortion is not healthcare, but the wanton destruction of human life in the womb.

Those on the board that embrace abortion should be ashamed to show their faces at the hospital. They are trying to force doctors and other health care professionals to become killers. It is to the detriment to the public that these pro-abortion people wield such power over those whose sworn oath is to Heal, NOT Kill.

It is hard to understand these actions taken by the trustees of this ngreat hospital to end the lives of the unborn!

I oppose abortion and can not support it in any form. If the University of Vermont Medical Center does not reverse their decision, I will no longer be able to support the Medical Center in any form. You can not claim to "respect the dignity of all individuals" and kill the most vulnerable and most precious of humanity.

As a mom whose high risk baby was born at your hospital (and who went on to have two other pregnancies, one ending in miscarriage which I grieved), I find it very unsettling to hear that UVMed would so disrespect the life of an infant that you callously kill them as an "elective procedure" on your hospital campus now. My mom's life was saved in your operating rooms, our family has been in and out your doors for generations (even as the doors changed and the name changed). I recovered from paralysis in Bishop DeGosbriand. Burlington's medical center was known as the best in Vermont, but it now has blood on its hands and doesn't seem phased about it. Just another procedure. Save a life in one OR and intentionally kill a child in another. I no longer trust the ethics of UVMed.

The petition really tells the way I feel .I can't think of having to go to the hospital for just an appointment and wondering if a baby is being killed or how many have been killed.

If only TV commercials about abused animals could be as loving and morally correct towards aborted babies. Those commercials irritate me to no end. Just substitute baby for that dog, cat or whatever.

"Family Planning" that includes abortion means that some family members are killed before they're born. A more accurate name for this kind of "medicine" is premeditated murder.

Please reverse this decision and oppose elective abortions at UVM Medical Center. Continue to save lives not kill unborn babies.

Please end this horror now. Do the right thing and admit you made a mistake. Become life-affirming, not life-taking. Please.

Please defend the life of the most vulnerable... the unborn .

It is so sad to hear the news that UVM Vt. Medical Center is now entering the dark side of life by initiating this tragic procedure. I am thinking very somberly where I may seek my care from this day forward.

I will no longer donate to the UVM Medical Center. I already cancelled IBM's match of my 2017 donation.
