Discussions regarding the proposal for black alternate jerseys at the university are currently ongoing behind the scenes. I am grateful for the consistent feedback shared by those who believe the program should embrace this aesthetic shift.

The momentum behind this request for black alternate jerseys has surpassed all my initial expectations. It is clear that the fanbase feels strongly about this return to our historic roots. We are now preparing to present this significant interest to the University leadership.

Yes!! The orange is great but black looks so much better on the field. Especially under the lights at night. Make it happen.
The black jerseys look tough. About time we brought them back. Go Vols!
Been watching since the 80s and I say bring back the black. Tradition is tradition.
The recruits definitely want this. If it helps us win games then give it to them.

Whatever gets people excited again. The current seats are full of people who just sit there anyway. Change it up.
