Ute Creek Golf Course Preposterous Proposal

Waste of money that devalues nearby homes with ugly, intrusive structures that are not needed.

We moved here not only because it is a great city to reside but also in this particular community because it is an aesthetically very pleasing and well maintained, Beautiful Community. If this absurd idea goes through property values will go down etc etc etc. The City Needs To Find another solution that won't financially hurt their TAX PAYING Residents and cause a host of additional problems not only for residents but for themselves as well. Not a well thought out plan, to say the least and Very detrimental to Our Beautiful Community.

Keep it where it is along Hwy66.

I am against the relocation of the buildings and the lesser standard of design and set backs than home owners of the surrounding neighborhoods.

Do not put his facility near the current club house. It belongs near the existing maintenance facility.

Please locate this facility along Highway 66. This should be a key part of developing the 66/Sundance area.

This proposal is MUCH more destructive than beneficial to the neighborhood residents and only appears to serve the employees of the golf course. Not only would construction of this building be unattractive, the amount of noise generating activity for residents surrounding this facility will be annoying to say the very least. The City of Longmont employees repeatedly IGNORE speed limits, etc. while driving to/from work. I can't imagine how disrespectful the employees will be driving equipment around this shed, gathering for breaks, and whatever other activities they feel are acceptable throughout their work day. Based on the appearance of the currently located "maintenance" area, it's obvious how the newly proposed building and surrounding area will appear after years of use and neglect by golf course employees and managers. Keep the maintenance area where it is and improve that area. I'm sure the City Planners can figure something out. If not, then it wasn't meant to be. The golf course has existed and functioned for this long without this improvement so without COMPELLING data to support a new facility it's not satisfactory nor reasonable and is purely whimsical in nature. For years the City of Longmont has: 1.) Refused to maintain the frontage landscaping directly North East of the Ute Creek Dr and 17th Ave intersection, nor has the golf course maintained it, creating an eye sore for the entire community and violating their own ordinances concerning weeds exceeding acceptable height. 2.) Declined multiple requests of Ute Creek Dr residents to install traffic calming/speeding measures for the residents of Ute Creek Dr to minimize speeding and reckless driving by both golfers AND Longmont City Golf Course employees 3.) Refused to install any type of video monitoring for the parking lot directly to the West of the proposed building where illicit drug activities, loitering, and other nefarious activities occur on a regular basis. 4.) Rarely, if ever, provide

With the facility comes the trucks and traffic associated. Our neighborhood is busy enough with the golfer traffic. I don’t live on Ute Creek drive, but those homeowners did not sign up for the traffic associated with the maintenance facility.

The current HWY 66 location is better situated for the entry/exit of heavy equipment (IE dump trucks and other heavy material delivery equipment) than having said equipment travel our residential streets causing damages to the roadway surface and a danger to our citizenry. Looking at the actual facility and grounds, they too are better situated in its current location being away from residential property lines. The city must also adhere to its own rules and follow the building codes as developed by the city. Currently our city golf course looks more like a private course than a city one. Don't ruin that impression by going cheap and building an ugly tin shed beside it. Everyone, think of how all of those metal sheds look in people's yards after a few winters. Do we want to look at a giant version of one of those each time we drive past or into the golf course parking lot? Let's stick to the current location and build there.

I am in agreement that there is little or no upside to this design proposal. A project like this would certainly have a negative impact on the property values in the area. This is a commercial maintenance and storage facility and doesn't belong in the middle of an area that is zoned for residential single and residential mixed development.

This is not needed

Who would build a multi-million dollar home and then put a shed in the front yard to store their lawnmower? Neighborhoods always have that one neighbor that either paints their house an awkward color or has multiple junk cars out front or lets weeds grow wild etc. Ute Creek Golf Course would be that one neighbor amongst all other golf courses. City Planners, you can do better.

Keep the location where it is. The City should never have a lesser design standard than the public.

NOT a good place for a maintenance facility. No respectable golf course would put it by their club house. Keep it on 66
