Today, did you play an Xbox or Playstation? Use a cell phone? Wake up with an alarm clock? Drive or ride in a car? Listen to the radio in your car? Use a microwave? Watch TV? If so, you used a device which utilizes at least one embedded microcontroller system.
An embedded microcontroller system is a computer system with a dedicated function within a larger mechanical or electrical system. Their embedded nature allows embedded systems to fly under the radar in terms of our awareness of devices with which we interact. For this reason, it is easy to neglect the importance of studying about and/or developing these devices.
It has been several years since UTC has offered Embedded Microcontroller Systems, and I have started a petition to gauge who would take the course if it were to be offered. If you would like to take this class, please sign the petition so it may be offered.

This petition will be attempting to persuade UTC to offer the class in the spring 2018 semester.
