40 minute drive down 157 at 7 AM to make it to my math exam? I'd rather not

I work on campus and had to walk to work today because most of the cars still have 2+ inches of ice over them. And so do the roads. I already saw one patron slip and fall on the way out of the library. Because it is Finals week, there is no option to miss class if the university remains open. This is absurd.

It really is not possible to get out of the house and commute to college on the severe cold.

I think I love life more than a grade.

I live at Cooper, during these past days, I've seen so many cars sliding on the road I've lost count; not only that, the only time I dared go to Walmart I saw at least 3 accidents on my way between Cooper and Random Mill, and I was close to be hit by another car as well, there is no way I am going to drive at 6 or so in morning because I have an exam at 8AM

I can make the drive, but I know several people who can't. I'd prefer that UTA be closed Monday Dec 9, however even if it is open, I believe students should have the option of taking the exact same final other students take at a later, safer time for them.

classes should remain closed . we all know uta is a commuter school so everyone one is coming from somewhere off campus

There is no reason to put students and staff at this kind of risk. The libraries opened at 3:00 on Sunday. I wonder who made it in to work I can't even get out of my neighborhood. UTA admin, please use some common sense.

the roads are too dangerous for hundreds of students to attempt to make the drive, and finals are too important to miss. Please close the schools until the weather permits a safe commute.

It makes no sense to require students to choose between showing up for class in order for their grade to not be affected and risking their lives. Have a heart, UTA. Don't open Monday.

UTA is setting students up to risk their lives for nothing. Nursing Diagnosis: Risk for Safety r/t ice roads, dangerous road conditions AEB meteorologist recommendations, "It's too dangerous to have students driving from all over to take a test that can be reschedule", "Is the new President Karbhari serious with this decision with a predominantly commuter campus"

Are you kidding me? I can't even open the doors of my car because of the freezing temperatures! How do you expect me to get to school when I can't even open my car? Sorry, I guess you forgot not everyone leaves their cars in closed, cozy environments. Mine had a three inches layer of snow-ice yesterday I had to remove with my hands, I even have the bruises to prove it!
