We have created another slate for the Metro Region Board. The slate recommended by the Metro nominating committee was decided by people that have very little involvement with the Metro Region Board and do not see all of the important programs and events that have come out of this group with me as the leader. We need support from the Member Organizations in Metro so we can continue to support all of our programs like Junior Team Tennis, Metro Grants, young professionals socials and supporting local programs, clubs and schools. What we have accomplished in the last few years :

*We restarted JTT and it has grown to over 400 players.

*We created one day/weekend team tournaments for kids/teens.

*We have strengthened relationships with many local clubs, CTA's and Member Orgs.

*We have awarded thousands of dollars in scholarships and grants to the Metro Community.

*We have grown the volunteer base in Metro and reignited a passion for the game and giving back.

*We created a Metro Junior Volunteer Committee made up of high school students who volunteer at events and give back.

*We created a young professionals committee on our Metro Board and have held tennis socials at many clubs throughout NYC at a very low price to attract young professionals to the game or back to the game.

We feel that there is still so much opportunity to grow tennis in the Metro Region and we are passionate about doing so.

We will work to grow schools programs and connect many clubs, CTA's and programs with these schools programs so kids can play tennis throughout the school year and summers. We want to give as many kids and adults the opportunity to play our wonderful sport and be a part of the tennis community.
