USS Constitution is a unique and treasured Boston landmark. We are lucky to have this Ship of State anchored in the Charlestown Navy Yard. However, it is also the US Navy's oldest commissioned warship afloat. Her crew are active duty United States Sailors. Please sign this petition as a sign of your support and appreciation of Old Ironsides and her crew. We applaud their careful observance of Naval tradition, particularly morning and evening colors. If you have the chance, you should visit and participate in this time honored US Navy ceremony. Place your hand over your heart as our flag is hoisted or lowered.
