Petition for the Protection of the Baars-Firestone Wildlife Sanctuary
We, the undersigned are requesting that the University of West Florida’s Board of Trustees and the University President preserve natural areas on the UWF campus by taking any action necessary to show that they disapprove of the proposed development in the Baars-Firestone Wildlife Sanctuary, to establish a legal boundary for the Baars-Firestone Wildlife Sanctuary and to establish a permanent ban on development in the entire sanctuary. PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR UWF ID. All e-mail addresses and ID's will remain confidential.
Number 6 of the top 10 reasons UWF thinks you should be a student here is because of our beautiful campus with its many nature trails and unique study environments. UWF is one of Florida's most natural beauties and should be here for generations to come.
Join us March 26, 2016 for outdoor fun, music and food at the Rec Plex field behind Martin Hall. Learn about the species of plants and animals that call the Baars-Firestone Wildlife Sanctuary a home!
