I've just posted a comment to Sam's Club urging them to lean on Synchrony or replace them:

It's mystifying that Synchrony Bank is systematically blocking one of the most popular finance tools, Mint.com. This seriously devalues my new Sam's Mastercard (I can't import transactions), and I'll undoubtedly drop it if you can't leverage Synchrony to fix this. (And it's not enough for Synchrony to offer "download to Quicken". That misses the point.)
Sam's has a much better reputation than this, and you can do better. Synchrony's excuses are hogwash and demonstrate either technical incompetence or double-talk. Maybe both.
The issue has been around for months. You can read summaries by Googling "Mint Synchrony Bank" or "Mint GE Capital Bank". Mint's response is here: https://mint.lc.intuit.com/questions/940743-issues-with-gemb-merchant-credit-cards
Can we make a goal of getting this fixed by June 2015? If Synchrony is unwilling to fix their problem, I'd frankly suggest Sam's replace them with a better card provider.

Mint reminds customers about the upcoming bill...which is a disadvantage for GE...because...they want missed payments.... to collect more interests

The refusal by GE is clearly due to the fact that they operate these cards in ways that would flag attention by Mint's "advice" feature, alerting customers they depend on to be in the dark to stay in the dark. This is a major budgetary inconvenience to add each transaction individually... I just ifnd myself using the card less. Please join us in 2015, thank you.

I use Synchrony for Care Credit as it is the best option I can find for my vet bills. I am extremely upset that I cannot link the account to my Mint account. It makes no sense to me - it is secure enough for real banks, so it should be secure enough for a credit card company.

I no longer use my Lowes card and took all my business to Menards; which is not blocking aggrators. I spent over $5k on appliances this year; this DIRECTLY LOST BUSINESS for Lowes which was CHEAPER AND CLOSER TO MY HOME! Don't do what's convenient for you, do what's convenient for your customer (OR LOSE YOUR CUSTOMER!)

I no longer use my Lowes card and took all my business to Menards; which is not blocking aggrators. I spent over $5k on appliances this year; this DIRECTLY LOST BUSINESS for Lowes which was CHEAPER AND CLOSER TO MY HOME! Don't do what's convenient for you, do what's convenient for your customer (OR LOSE YOUR CUSTOMER!)

I'm working diligently to clear the accounts I have with Synchrony/GEMB and will leave them at a 0 balance until they catch up to the 21st century.
