Online schooling with Zoom is plagued by crashes and technical difficulties. Zoom often glitches and won't let people into meetings. Discord is a completely free software that you can download or just run on your browser. They have special classroom servers where teachers can set up student controls, chat channels, and other things. Zoom can sometimes hinder online student's ability to learn, because of the terrible audio and video quality. Discord has special resources for teachers to help them. It's an easy to use and quality software. It's supported on all platforms and it's much more modern and easy to use then Zoom. Also, no more going through multiple websites to get into class. Teachers would send an invite to class in Discord. Instead of going through Synergy, we could do it ALL from Discord. Also, Discord could help students communicate a lot more. You can only talk to classmates/teachers ON Zoom, but with Discord there could be specific channels for every need, where students could ask teachers questions anytime or ask fellow students for help. Sign this petition to have our voices be heard and help Lux to make the switch.

Come on what are you gonna use? Google meet? It also is pledged by crashes. Skype? What’s that? You may say, what I have to say about that is “I don’t know.” The only good way to go here is with discord. They should use discord for every single public school in the US. I’ve made my point.
what do we do wrong? i understand theres nsfw and stuff, but we should be allowed discord on our computers. WE NEED OUR LIVES BACK! most of my friends online and irl, weve been drifting away since school started again. all of their parents got them phones and mine didnt. i wanted to use my school computer to use discord and instagram so i could keep in touch with my friends, but now they all forgot about me. they stopped missing me. now im alone. i cry every night and day because i HATE. i hateee feeling alone. it breaks my heart. not like im not used to it though. i till cry all the time over friends ive gotten close with but never got the chance to stay with. just please let us use wbsites. block pornhub, block innappropriocity. go ahead. be my guest. but let us use our social medias. its some kids only way of keeping friends. and hey, you never knoe. kids could have fomo disorder and you wouldnt know. hot that you would care. fomo can lead to depression and anxeity you know that? get it in your head. we may need this more than you know.
Discord is the superior platform, change my mind.

I would really enjoy using discord instead of zoom because of all of the major benefits of discord over zoom.
