We, the graduate and undergraduate student body, petition the USF School of Art and Art History director and academic advisers to establish the proposed graduate facilitated internship program for undergraduate career development. View Proposal Here

At present, there are not enough opportunities for undergraduates to gain experience either through artist assistantship, career mentorship, and engaging peer to peer contemporary art dialogue outside of the classroom setting. Graduate students can bridge this gap by also providing interns exposure to new art practice habits, one on one learning environment through assistance on studio projects, and by sharing their emerging artist experiences.

We strongly suggest that this program, to improve the transition of undergraduate and graduate students into the professional arena, starts at the beginning of next semester, January 11, 2021.
