An important point here given the need to reduce the impact of vehicle emissions. Local authorities have a duty to cooperate for the greater good.

We need to consider the environment surely it makes more sense to travel 5 miles and not 13. I rarely go that way but am always in Thornbury so no extra driving necessary if I can go to the Thornbury sort-it

Thornbury is by far the closest tip to get to. Allowing us to use it helps reduce my carbon footprint as I won't have to drive as far.

My sister who lives in Woodford finds the drive to Horsley extremely tiring when there is a centre in Thornbury a town which she drives to frequently for shopping. Being a cancer survivor and having suffered a brain bleed, I have to frequently drive from Devon to facilitate a run to the recycle centre.

Traveling all the way to Horsley to ditch household waste invites fly tipping as we quite often see in Hamfield Lane. In addition the extra traffic through Dursley must impact on the environment…..it’s ironic on both accounts that we need to travel so far to be environmentally sound by recycling!
