Please can I use the Thornbury tip rather than the more distant Horsley which is such a tricky drive from the Vale of Berkeley.

Would make life so much easier to be able to go to a tip much closer to home x

I would make much more use of the Thornbury site if I was allowed to. Please do this

The Thornbury tip is much more convenient for me to use.

As well as the shorter journey to the recycling centre, it was also a win for the businesses in Thornbury, because we used to combine the trip with a visit to the town's shops and cafes.

We have to make many special trips a year to Horsley - and Hempsted (Gloucester) which is even further - just to visit the tip. Not only is Thornbury much nearer but we used to always combine a trip to Thornbury tip with other functions in Thornbury town centre such as haircuts.

I live in Berkeley and it is ridiculous to have to travel so far for a Gloucestershire recycling centre, when Thornbury is so close. To be able to use Thornbury will encourage me to recycle more and it would be greener as it is much closer when driving there.

It would make much more environmental sense to be able to use the tip at Thornbury rather than having to travel much further to Owlpen.

It make’s sense due to the distance to Horsley or Gloucester tip both milage and in an environmental reason with exhaust emissions

Not just convenient but environmentally sensible to authorise its use for GL13

Half the distance to Horsley tip, no brained.

Along with the existing comments I would add that I travel to Thornbury at least 3 times a week, whereas I only travel the 15 miles to Horsley for tip visits. It is environmentally unfriendly to do this. I also pay Gloucestershire Council for a brown bin, but I would continue to do that.

The current situation is environmentally insane.

Thornbury is 6.2 miles from us in Berkeley; Horsley is 9.8 miles (and a time-consuming, frustrating trip through Dursley) . At every level it makes sense for us to use Thornbury: time, fuel, environmental impact.

Much easier to get too .

It would be great to be able to use the Thornbury tip. It would give an extra reason to go to Thornbury and so combine our trip with visiting other services and shops

Just common sense!
