It’s quite a trek to Horseley. Approx 15 mins to Thornbury

I have a lot of broken and unwanted household items that cannot be transported except by trailer behind my classic sports car. Last time was a fridge freezer, before the current booking system was imposed at Horsley a 28 mile round trip measured from home

Very frustrated with having to travel so far for a tip when there are others closer.

Thornbury is my local town where my daughter goes to school and where I do all my shopping. I live only meters away from the dividing line that forces me to travel to Horsley, which is never anywhere remotely near my normal daily routine. We get frequent fly tipping in the lanes round where I live.

I live near to a council boundary of two council areas. I therefore use the facilities in both council areas and of course it makes sense to use the nearest sorting centre to cut pollution from excessive journey distances and time. I also shop in Thornbury,

Living near the county boundary a lot of services are poor due to the inward looking approach of councils where as residents are wider area focused hence council boundaries are irrelevant to daily life.

I wholeheartedly agree, we live in Woodford right on the border so to get to Horsley takes lots of time

I was forced after mistakingly going to thornbury tip with a car full of just wood to drive to Horsley, when I quesioned the sanity of this and stated this was hardly good for the environment I was told I am being videoed and they don't like my attitude!

Seems crazy that we have to drive so far to use the Horsley tip when we have one 6.5 miles away in Thornbury.
