I use a very controlled Brittany spaniel for deer indicating. She is know more than 10m from me at all times in the field. She poses no danger to any person or native animal. I am getting frustrated that I am locked out of more and more country due to the no dog policy.

Deer indicating dogs eg dogs that stay with the hunter which are under control, should pass a test like the kiwi aversion method to then be certified to be used in public land which doc administer for everyone to use regardless if they are working ,hunting or recreational.

Our family dog was just poisoned by a DOC worker with a dog roll left by the car laced 1080 after my stepbrother took her out on public land. This is beyond disgusting and inhumane, and shouldn't happen to anyone else. Please make deer dogs allowed on public land so no one else has to lose part of their family

We should be allowed to use ours dog on public land. Hunting dogs have a purpose and know to hunt one thing and don't worry about birds

I both use and support the use of deer dogs in New Zealand. I would be very disappointed if there were less places people could legally use dogs for game finding.

This is giving dogs a purpose, rather than them sitting around home. Anyone who's interested in animals would know this...

We work hard to train our dogs & keep them under good command , we already are kiwi aversioning these dogs & our taxs are paying DOC wages so its about time this department starts listening to the ppl that pay them
