I really want to go to nationals (it would be my first year) and I would be sad if they didn’t happen, but the reasoning for cancellation would be understandable. I just think it’s unfair that the elite/pro and master riders would have their nationals postponed, while ours would be cancelled.

Please reconsider holding junior track nationals.

Dear USA Cycling: I respectfully urge you to reconsider the outright cancelling of the Junior National Championships this year. While I understand this could not have been a decision into which you endeavored lightly, I would implore you to reconsider taking into strong consideration the degree to which he safety measures that necessity dictates be implemented for the Elite/Pro and Masters races, can be extended to the reinstated Junior races, coupled with the singular significance the Championship holds to so many Juniors, a great number of whom are coping with the once-in-a-lifetime rite of passage of their Senior year of High School and graduation having been ripped away. Thank you deeply for your reconsideration of this decision to reinstate a tradition that more than ever means the world to so many dedicated Junior cyclists. As a former president of a COE team, I am aghast that USAC would consider cancelling junior championships while considering rescheduling other championships. At the very least, events should be held for the 15-16 and 17-18 groups. Surely accommodations can be made for this group of juniors. Many of the current USAC national team members were standouts in their junior championships. Please give our juniors their chance in the spotlight.

Please give the Juniors a chance to compete at the National level. They have sacrificed and trained for it for years. They are the future of cycling!

Everyone deserves a chance to compete! Especially now when so many other things have been taken away! Let the competitive nature of every individual happen!

Building this sport comes from the juniors.

Please keep junior events scheduled. They are the future of an already struggling sport.
