I was just reading through some of the emails I got from people in the industry and honestly the divide on whether we actually need a formal accreditation process is kind of wild but I love that we are finally talking about it. Sometimes I worry the design community is just too used to the wild west of everything being unregulated but maybe that is exactly why this is worth the headache of organizing it.

YES. Getting tired of explaining to clients why my rates are higher than the local print shop intern
This is long overdue!! It would legit help clients understand that this is a real profession and not just playing around in photoshop for fun.
Finally. Tired of competing with people who charge 50 bucks for a logo and kill the market for the rest of us. We need standards.
Dont see how this helps exactly. If you got the portfolio you got the job. Seems like another way to charge us fees for a piece of paper.
Agree 100%. Quality control is basically non existent right now. Lets make this happen.
