U.S. Postage Stamp Honoring Prince Hall

I totally concur. This postage is needed. As a Prince Hall Mason, I can attest to the fact that we have done much and continuing to do great things in our community. This recognition is well overdue!

I am an avid Philatelic, and i am taken back by the notion that there is no postage stamp (commemorate or otherwise) to celebrate the great works of Prince Hall-The Mason. The works of Prince Hall Masons in America has played a very important role and impact in shaping our history and tapestry in our society. I'd like there to be such a stamp to add to my collection of Historical Americans. I am writing in support of this petition to the Stamp Advisory Committee and Post Master General to consider this earnest request.

I decided to look up how stamps are decided on by the US post office and found this: The stamp selection process The Postal Service welcomes written suggestions for stamp subjects that help portray the diversity of the American experience for a worldwide audience. Any proposal that meets established guidelines will be considered. If you are interested in submitting an idea, you should: 1.Carefully consider the guidelines for appropriate stamp subjects (see What are the criteria for stamp subjects?) 2.Mail your suggestion to the Citizens’ Stamp Advisory Committee at the address below. (No in person appeals are accepted.) Due to the time required for research and approval, ideas for stamp subjects should be received at least three years prior to proposed issuance. Each submission should include pertinent historical information and important dates associated with the subject.
