All valid points, we want the sport to grow and this is making it very hard to accomplish that goal.

Agree with these changes and think they are more than fair! Our sport needs all the help it can get.

Some good points made there.... the surprise charging admission for the side pro matches was definitely offensive to me. Here's a take on the rest of the petition.... 1. The purpose of the US Open isn't to grow the sport of racquetball. It's the largest tournament in the world and it's meant to showcase the greatest players in the world and provide the largest stage for them to perform, which it does through the show court and record participation levels with 600 - 700+ for years and years. 2. Prize money, entry fees, and meals are all reasonable requests. The best way to get those is to provide value so businesses will see a reason to put their money up and invest in the sport. I haven't sponsored the US Open, but I have sponsored individual players and specific events when I can see there will be a return on my investment. Without a return on their investment, you can't expect companies to support the tournament or the sport.....but you need their support to get entry fees lowered or prize money increased. Also keep in mind.... anyone here is free to start their own grand slam tournament. IF you think your ideas will work, then put them into a business plan and make it happen. Competition makes everyone step up their game.

All valid points that should be recognized by organizers. As the premier event in racquetball for a professional athlete to make $100 for making the round of 32's borders on disrespectful, in my opinion. Whatever the reasons, this is ultimately a reflection of how much the players are valued.

Fixing the integrity of the sport by efficient and diligent drug testing should be addressed to help grow our sport first and foremost. Professionalism goes beyond our spectators, and the allocation of prize money.

Its wild that pros are actually losing money just to show up and play. If this is supposed to be the biggest tournament of the year the pay structure needs a serious overhaul.
