Our 20 year old daughter suffers from ROGD as a direct result of her PTSD she developed due to being severely bullied from the ages of 12-15. Her entire life is consumed by Trans Ideology which resembles "cult-like" behavior. Her college paid for her to change her name legally behind our back. She refuses to work on her sleep issues or her mental health issues especially if it involves prescription drugs. Yet, since being at college and buying into the trans ideology she has quickly moved to wanting to go on HRT because it will "solve everything". That is a lie and we will not allow her to use our insurance for HRT. In addition she wants to have a double mastectomy. As we know the brain does not fully developed until the mid to late 20's, no decision this life changing and permanent should be made before that time. The affirmation model used at her college has only led her to embrace the trans ideology and ignore her underlying issues that require attention.

As a Mom and a Registered Nurse, I am overwhelmingly concern about this non-evidenced based practice of medicalization and surgical interventions to children and young people. These interventions are life altering and definitely will have a great impact on their health, mentally, emotionally and psychologically. Children and teens do need help when they start questioning their gender identities but not to the extent of changing their biological realities early on their lives. Evidenced-based studies have to be explored what are truly helpful and effective for this populations. Please Surgeon General, I plead, take an action to stop this practice. These children are our future. Please do something!

As a physician, seeing the exponential growth in the increase of children & young adults adapting to their self identification as being transgender, NB. Help stop the growing practice of experimental pediatric identity medicine. Children should not receive hormonal and surgical treatments that are not supported by rigorous long-term studies.

Stop this abuse of children! This is not reasonable, or just. Read Ryan T. Anderson's book, "When Harry Became Sally: Responding to the Transgender Moment" and do not give in to the lies and pressure from the extremists. Thank you for your consideration.

There is no medical consensus on the proper treatment. A significant majority of children will desist from GD and naturally align with their biological sex after puberty. Early hormone therapy and surgery is unnecessary and irreversible. Puberty is a tough time, and children are being mutilated and sterilized in the name of a political agenda.

Please investigate the epidemic of treating children with life altering drugs & mutilating surgeries to affirm their feelings of gender confusion. Since there is no scientific proof that this helps vulnerable children & since it has unknown health consequences for their future, this "runaway train" should be stopped before a whole generation of children is physically & psychologically harmed. Pleaae help stop this child abuse. Thank you.

I am an adult who struggled with gender dysphoria as a child, fortunately before this trend to push kids into transitioning. Now I have 4 beautiful children, 2 grandkids, and was married for 25 years! I would have given that up to become a boy at age 5 or 9 or 12, convinced that I was in the “wrong body” and probably would have been miserable for the rest of my life!

You are what God made you and it cannot be changed not matter what surgery one has. Our genes say we are male or female and even with surgery that cannot be changed. But, these surgeries are abuse. These children will live with lifelong regret and will never be able to go back from these surgeries. Help these children by not allowing them to have these transgender surgeries and God will bless you.

My 20 year old daughter has fallen prey to the transgender movement. She left our family to follow this cult in pursuit of the happiness that she was promised by several social media sites. After taking testosterone (which she got from Planned Parenthood) for less than a year, her voice has dropped and she now has a beard. She wants a double mastectomy and hysterectomy. Our family is distraught! ROGD is a social contagion and any child who has access to the internet is vulnerable and susceptible to the same actions my daughter has taken. Please stop the madness before our next generation of mothers are completely sterile!

We should recognize the human right to a natural puberty, including full brain maturation, which is not complete until age 25. There should be no medical transition before age 25. This is a decision that should be made with a fully mature brain.

Many young people are being irreversibly harmed by medical interventions aimed at changing their gender, and we are seeing more and more who express regret about transition. A different approach to young people who are uncomfortable with their bodies is needed.

Gender confusion/questioning is being promoted in schools, media-it's wrong! Male + female..that's it.

As a child psychiatrist who worked in this field for many years I have been very saddened to see how young people have been encouraged to make decisions that have potential deleterious long term effects on their health and well being based on no evidence. These are vulnerable children and youth who lack the capacity to fully realize the impact of their decisions. I fully support this petition.

I read your story...every word of it. My heart ached as I saw the pain you endured...mocking and cruel words from your own mother, and passive observance from your father...as a boy drowned in a sea of confusion and pain...and no one knew what to do. I felt sick thinking you had gone through transition only to find out that your pain and fear and desperation did not transition with you. I can’t even begin to imagine how scary and gut wrenching it would be to think that you would finally feel whole, and that this promise of a new life never happened. A shell was modified, but inside your heart was the same...it’s a cruel world, and our bodies can be a prison of sorts. I don’t know if you will read this, but if you do, I want you to know one thing. God knows pain and He is real. He loves you...and He is safe for those who find their refuge in Him. When God looked down and saw this world....how people have sinned against us, and how we have sinned against God...when we didn’t even care about knowing Him, He sent His Son Jesus to this earth to live a life that was marked by shame and mockery...He left heaven as Creator of the Universe to be born on this cruel planet...knowing He would die and yet He still chose to rescue us. He chose to come to this world in a humble way....born in the back of a barn...by a woman whose story was that even though she was pregnant, she was really a virgin. Talk about mockery....Jesus ate with “sinners” and prostitutes and all those that the religious people wouldn’t touch. He went to those who knew they needed a savior, a refuge, and a friend. He looked at us all with compassion, and knew we couldn’t save ourselves. The sin done to us and by us is not something we can solve or fix on our own. When we are drowning we call Hep! Because only someone outside ourselves can save us....so too with our souls. God is holy...not a single lie can enter his presence in heaven, or all eternity is no longer pure...so He sends His son to
