Urgent Request to the US Surgeon General: Protect Young People from Irreversible Medical Harm

Please protect all children. You must be 18 to be considered a legal adult. You must be 18 to get a vasectomy. Female genital mutilation is a horrible atrocity. How can removing a child’s genitals, sterilizing them be seen as anything less than barbaric abuse. Please stop this.

Dear Dr. Adams, My daughter is not transgender. She was never what is called gender-nonconforming. I should preface that by saying that I believe children that are gender-nonconforming are simply children. They are not born in the wrong body. Our daughter got caught up in the trans trend during her college years. It was very popular on her college campus. Her identity shifted several times--again, very common with this group. She was able to easily access testosterone in the college health clinic. If a college clinic does not offer that service, the student will go to Planned Parenthood. One visit is all it takes to start on a path to permanent medical harm. We will never hear our daughter's natural voice again. Our daughter then managed to get her breasts chopped off. Is she now infertile? Possibly. Women on testosterone will require a hysterectomy after about five years of on this drug. Why are we allowing this massive medical harm? Our daughter has closed so many doors to her future self. She cut ties with her family--because we did not immediately affirm that she was "male". The disavowal of family is encouraged by many in the trans community--including counselors who have been trained in affirmation politics. Her college provided her with a "Safe Place" to medically transition. It was anything but safe. She is no longer a joyous, bright person looking forward to her future. We do not want this to happen to other young people or their families.

Adolescents who are deemed too immature to legally vote or drink alcohol are being prescribed hormones that will render them infertile for life. Please take action to put a stop to these devastating "treatments."

Please stop permanent damage to children’s bodies

Doctors take an oath to do no harm. This is so sad. These surgeries can lead to a lifetime of pain and eventual suicide. This is definite harm.

Please help us protect our children.

Why isn't there affirmative action for social dysphoria? Where are the mental health experts? There are too many kids who need free counseling at an early age. If we, as a nation, would take care of our children when they experience social anxiety and teach them how to like themselves and their bodies, the trans cult would likely diminish. The medical field and big pharma better brace themselves for future court cases. Many detransitioners are very likely to sue once they realize that they have been cheated.

Please young children, especially those dealing with anxiety and depression, cannot make life altering decisions at such a young age. They do noy have the abikity to fully comprehend the gravity of thwir decisions.

Stop using our kids as guinea pigs. This is barbaric.

I know half a dozen young women who have "joined" for camaradarie, been pressured, and have deep regrets.

We as human beings are better than that. Please let’s start using commonsense and stop the madness

This whole thing is very unprofessional and more counseling and ect should be done before these treatments ever happen!

There is a serious ethical problem in allowing irreversible, life-changing procedures to be performed on children who are too young themselves to give valid consent. My 15 years old daughter told me a few months ago: "Thank you mom, you didn't let me change my gender a year ago, I don't know what was I thinking! I'm so thankful you were strong for me!" Study shows 75 to 95 percent of gender-dysphoric youth end up happy with their biological sex after simply passing through puberty.

As a nurse I find this disturbing that long term irreversible outcomes involving our youth today are being performed before puberty is even reached.

Please help!

I want to be the voice to many who don't know or understand what our children are being exposed to.

Please take this seriously. Our children are being harmed. My family is going through a devastating situation with my son who never received proper mental health care.
