I am the parent of a year 5 and a year 6 student in Hanborough. A potential 45 minute wait in an empty school for a group of adolescents is a recipe for disaster. Please rethink this crazy scheme.

My son catches the early bus, he's struggling with the early mornings, my concerns are that if he becomes to worn out and tires hea school work will suffer, how is he meant to stay focused on his school work and concentrate as expected when he's getting up so early.
The worries we all have as parents sending our children on public transport hoping they are safe let alone having to hang around in the streets when the mornings are dark our children's safety and wellbeing just come before saving money

My 10 year old daughter will be using this service next September; her brother the following year. They cannot just be dumped in the next village an hour or more before school opens, with older kids, and no adult supervision, and all the attendant safeguarding risks that entails. This is ridiculous.

My son will have just turned 11 when he starts at Bartholomew School in Sept 18 and he would find the early start totally exhausting combined with the pressure of a new school. The early mornings would also have a detrimental effect on his 7 year old sister. I am also very concerned about the potential for bullying and bad behaviour with so many children just killing time before school. It would be a really unhappy start to his time at secondary school and I very much hope a better solution can be found.

I do not want my daughter who starts at Bartholomews next September to have so much wasted time and feel exhausted having to leave home so very early in the morning just so the school bus can fit in a second run pre school.

This is disgusting. The whole service is based on cost saving, and trying to make money for stagecoach. But the safety and wellbeing of the children has not been taken into account.
Is money saving a priority over the wellbeing of any chIld, occ. ?

We need a normal "school bus' service.
The long Hanborough children should not be made to feel different. And should not have to go to school early.

My Year 7 son is currently taking the designated early bus to school. He is suffering terribly with exhaustion to the point where we may need to allow him a day off school to recover.
The early bus, and the long wait for school to start, really is having a very negative impact on his first few weeks, and taking away from his enjoyment of school.
As parents we are concerned about the impact this is having on his learning, both during the school day and with homework. As the homework is building up, he is finding it increasingly hard to apply himself to the work after school following such a an early start and long day.
The current bus arrangements must be reconsidered as soon as possible.

For children as young as 11 years old, who have no other means of travelling to school forced to arrive at school an hour before official school opening time, at risk and unsupervised because one bus service being cut is an outrage

The implementation of this new service was a dogs breakfast in communications and has left our young children tired, bullied and at risk. It is a saving to far!

Mother of twins who will hopefully be going to Bartholomew next September, just a couple of weeks after turning 11. Why should they have to sit around at school for an hour before the school day starts - hardly a stimulating way to start the school day. Please, please OCC reconsider this.
