Preserve Randall's Island Fields 82-85 for NYC Children

Randall's Island is a vital soccer sanctuary for the children of NYC. Please keep it open for them!

Randall’s Island Park and ALL fields need to be preserved for the taxpayers and children of NYC.

Absolutely not! This is for the children to play sports not a mobile shelter

The people of the City of New York need their soccer fields and softball fields . If anything , you should move the migrants to Governors Island where there is a lot of buildings that could house them

Please do not take playing fields away from NYC children. We took so much away in 2020 and 2021, and we know sports is an important part of rebuilding their mental health. Our children have already sacrificed enough. Please, no more.

There is already limited park space for our children in the city. Preserving this space is critical for the health and development of our children.

NYC children need a space to play sports. Randall’s Island athletic fields provide the best multi-purpose fields for schools, not-for-profits, and small businesses. Without access to fields, many families will have yet another reason to leave NYC.

There has to be a smarter way to provide shelter for those in need without directly impacting our children’s ability for to enjoy the limited outdoor space available to them already.

More playing fields and parks, less development. NYC made a deal to protect and build more parks and outdoor designated play spaces, and they have yet to deliver.

The notion of taking away precious multi-purpose fields from kids, not-for-profits, volunteers, coaches and small businesses operating in one of the most densely populated city's in the world sounds like a joke about how ham-fisted leadership can be with its tax paying and working families. Putting down a 2,000 person tent city in the middle of kids ballfields is also not a way to cultivate sustainable empathy, support and compassion for the difficult and dire circumstances migrants are in. Surely there are less vital and actively-used spaces within NYC's 300 square miles to use that won't disrupt and displace long planned community and school-based programs central to NYC children's welfare.

Randall’s Island is a respite from the city in the fields are at our children’s play fields. They don’t have the same luxuries of children in the suburbs have people in Fields Fuller Ave Children The playing.

Please preserve Randall's Island for the children of NYC.

Children should not be sacraficed

Our kids need field space. Find other places. there are several unused Piers that would work great.

We need the field for play and recreation as a respite from the city don’t take our fields

Please keep our fields. We already Iive in a crowded city with very little space for our children.

To Mayor Adams your first priority are the citizens of this city, especially is youngest ones, preserve this outdoor space for them. To my fellow citizens - remember all of this when you vote. We did create and invite this situation by how we vote.

How do you ensure that our kids stay active, and physically and mentally healthy if you close the Randalls Islands fields?

I’m a teacher and my students use Randall’s Island throughout the school year for athletics , practicing or playing. Taking this s away would be detrimental to their SEL growth.
