My kids and I were on those field weekly since May of this year for soccer. It's not just an activity space children, it's a space used by all NYC community. There's got to be better solution to the migrant crisis that doesn't limit or take away space from NYC COMMUNITY

Stop penalizing the families that haven't YET fled NYC!

Recreational field space is rare enough in NYC; reducing available field space for students would have huge negative impacts on their socio-emotional well being. Please don’t take fields off line for sports usage!!

Randall’s island is a very large island. It doesn’t make sense to use the fields heavily used by kids through the year.

Our kids use Randall Island for soccer. We have parks near us that are rarely free. Don’t take away our only spot.

I am very sensitive to the needs of migrant people but I would like to ask that you please try find an alternative solution, something other than the playing fields at Randall’s Island. Thank you

There are more than enough vacant homes/apartments to house migrants and the homeless without limiting recreational activities and roadways to those who live here. One of many reasonable accommodations can include the increasing percentage of vacant so-called affordable lottery apartments. Most of those apartments are empty. Placing them there would be cheaper than creating hubs or paying $5000/month for placement at hotels or other people's homes (which is what the housing system for the homeless has looked like for over 10 years). Stop pretending there's no where for them to go by inconveniencing New Yorkers. We know there are better options, you can't turn us against migrants/homeless, and you can't distract us from the fact that the system is broken. We know it's the rich who benefit from propoganda and a broken system. Not us. Do the right thing and don't take away our access to the fields or any other part of NYC. The city has better options that aren't as much of a hindrance to it's residents.

NYC kids have so few places to play sports. Don’t take this away from them!

My two sons play soccer on these fields throughout the year. This will impact my family greatly, very sad.

The kids need these fields for sports! You took away too much from them during COVID lockdowns, do not sacrifice our children again. Find another solution!

Using school gyms and facilities for kids sports and activities is not the answer! these kids just went through years of lock downs and they need sports and physical activity, how much more are you going to take from the children of this city! Find an appropriate response!
