It is completely unrealistic and inconsiderable to force IB students that are in the middle east, especially Lebanon, to sit through official exams through a regional war.

We're too stressed and too afraid. It's unfair that we waste our 2 years of hard work because of reasons beyond our control.

I am writing as an IB student in Qatar to express serious concern and to strongly request the cancellation of the exams, as the effects of the ongoing war in the region continue to impact us. Even though we are in Qatar, students are still living under constant fear, stress, and uncertainty due to the surrounding conflict, which is affecting our mental health and ability to prepare. How are we supposed to study and perform in one of the most difficult and competitive exam systems when we are worried about our safety and the stability of the region? Under these conditions, it is extremely difficult to focus, revise effectively, or perform to our true academic potential. Continuing the exams in such circumstances is unfair, and I urge the IB Organization to cancel the exams in Qatar and consider alternative methods of assessment that ensure fairness while prioritizing students’ well-being and safety.

I’m an ib student from south lebanon and i find it highly unfair that only the uae got their exams cancelled while students like me who don’t even have a way to reach their schools safely are still due to sit for their exams on may of 2026

It's very unfair as a Lebanese student that the UAE get their exams canceled yet we don't know what will happen to ours. The war is still ongoing and the deaths and injuries are one of the highest in the middle east in this war.

I don't know how they aren't cancelled. There are missiles getting intercepted every day. Stop worrying about your reputation and worry about your students.

I think it is unfair how this batch of students will have to study under these circumstances and conditions where as other batches from different years have taken the exam with peace

Our learning was still heavily disrupted and hindered resulting in us students missing essential content and even missing some papers. If the UAE had the opportunity to cancel and took it I think we should be given the same opportunity.
