Dear Hon PM Scott Morrison Hope this email finds you well. My name is Kazim MOIEN based in Perth WA, I am a former battlefield interpret and translator and I have worked for the Australian Defence forces in Afghanistan in Kandahar province. I have helped the Australian Counter-Terrorism mission in Afghanistan by wearing the Australian Army uniform and going to the front line of the war in Kandahar province and putting my life in danger. As you are aware situation is deteriorating in Afghanistan and the entire country has fall into the hands of Taliban yesterday. My family members are still in Afghanistan, they are shocked, and they have nowhere to go, and life of family members are in danger, if the Taliban catch my family members, they will slaughter them as they are looking for revenge. What I want: I am begging the Australian government to save my family’s life by providing them a visa and bring them to Australia to live in a safe environment. This is what the US and Canada, UK are doing right now in Kabul. Why my family is not safe: My family is not safe under the Taliban because of my job as an interpreter for the Australian Army. On top of that, I belong to Hazara Ethnic group (vulnerable minority) and the Taliban has a history of sluthering Hazara civilians in the past in hundreds including innocent women and children. Recently Taliban has taken away 10 to 12 years old girls from their families and forcedly married them to their soldiers.
